Rust belt dude working in the legacy auto sector. Unfit AND degenerate.
well so apparently Claude thinks he's on to something ... so ... either 1) he's losing it or 2) he's ... right ? Interestingly the worlds only other Mathematician (Terry Tao) is also working this with DeepMind iirc so I am sure this would be news to him as well.

Lol you are prompting it wrong! You need the precise strings of incantations to supplicate to the demon and convince it to produce something you are going to iterate over again and again... But just use an Agent!!! /s

But! But the industry white-papers I read told me that these are safer than a drunk and distracted toddler driving a manual transmission in the snow!?

That they themselves deem "less skilled" is a HUGE COST/LOSS/INEFFICIENCY that these giant tech companies should pay for! 2/2

To the Utilitarian Extremists (basically all of SV at this point) perhaps this needs to be framed in terms of some Economic Jargon like "Deadweight loss" or something. Maybe actively displacing expertise that these people themselves value above all others into other types of labour 1/2

Yep. And the utility of "having a theorem explained to you" to even the average knowledge worker quickly approaches zero. Like I dare you to stand in front of a Chief Engineer and explain to her why her favorite metric to measure X is arbitrary because of Watanabe's "Ugly Duckling Theorem".

Point we are just tired and need to go to work and water our plants and know we gonna to have to file for unemployment or if health premiums are gonna go up again 4/n

And even that does a great disservice to just this one specific Technology. As a dude trained in the rudiments of EE and Communication Technology. It boggles my mind that people don't wake up in absolute AWE of the fact that we can bend fundamental forces of nature to our will ... But at some 3/n

ACROSS THE PLANET via SPACE & UNDERSEA CABLES, while maintaining insane levels of reliability. Like a bunch of monkeys 150 years ago intuited that radio waves are a thing and another set of monkeys used the structure of those equations to predict the structure of the freaking universe ... 2/n

I think most technologists have extensive blind spots. Again not criticizing anyone. But for perspective: we are currently conversing over text encoded as bits, layered on computation on top of computation, translated to light precisely shaped by atoms we control as a bulk property that we route 1/n
