All it takes for evil men to prevail is for good men to do nothing. I will not be silent, that would make me complicit. “Sound moral judgments emanate from reason, not emotions.” (Kant)

Dear Bluesky, in support of the public awareness effort that others and I have initiated, I’ve published a newsletter on Substack addressing disinformation campaigns. I invite you to read it at your convenience

The Architecture of a Disinformation Campaign
There is nothing inherently wrong about governments exercising control over society; fair and just laws were formulated to achieve this very purpose.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

When America Lost It's Soul
Author’s Note - My background is in social and political commentary, a space I occupied long before I picked up a poet’s pen in late 2025.

Jamaicans must never forget the pattern of corruption that plagued us for decades under the PNP. Let’s connect the dots 👇

Trump said he would be a dick-tator on day-1 of his presidency.

He did not say “on day-1 only.”

Why then is everyone in disbelief on day 150 + when he continues to fulfill his pledge to the nation?

He wasn’t lying folks; not this time.

6/ Verdict?
Depends on what you value:
🔹 Longevity & diplomacy — Patterson
🔹 Modernization & urgency — Holness

Two different leaders. Two different Jamaicas. 🇯🇲

5/ Legacy vs. Momentum
Patterson’s legacy is cemented in duration and regional influence.
Holness’s impact is more visible and modern, but the long-term effect is still unfolding.

4/ Impact: Who made the bigger mark?

Patterson brought stability and was a steward of long-term regional diplomacy
Holness brings pace — rapid housing development, economic rebound, and social reform attempts
