Queueing forever to get in and missed kick off - just dreadful from Feyenoord staff

In the ground! ⚽

Will the new Sporting Director be more in control & have a bigger say in signings?

I do actually hope so because you'd think that it needs to change for the good of the future of the Club - with or without Unai Emery😢

I just hope UE is fine with it😬

Anyway, the level of power the manager has, to most neutrals, this is a bad thing & very old school way to run things

And I think given how many of our own fans regularly complain about our squad, they actually, indirectly at least, agree that it needs to change!

He has been part of our most successful period in my lifetime as an Aston Villa fan as an adult

He cant take any credit in some peoples eyes for any of it, but can take all the blame

And Emery the opposite🤷

Agree we're where we are thanks to Emery mainly; But we also have our problems cos of him

& why there was immediately ZERO patience for team currently despite their achievements(talkin prior to Sund/Brentford games - patience wasn't there)

And even some absolute sausages wanting Emery out.

transfers, transfers, transfers, something new and shiny,

literally their only care & worry

Whatever we lack in/whatever you think about the current squad, Unai Emery has had a big say in it, the biggest say in it; this is like not even a debate

Think this highlights somewhat a lot of what I think is wrong with modern football fans - transfers - fans care more about transfers than results

If it's the latter, it's possibly worrying, if you're someone who wants Unai Emery to stay for many yrs to come like myself

We know the power Unai has at the Club is something he craved given his past experience in PL w/ no support

A new director might signal the end of that level of power #avfc

... Unai wants control in games, I don't think Rogers gives it? He can carry it up the pitch like a monster, but in many games he loses it via a poor touch, a poor pass, poor shot, or is tackled in a take on attempt (which is fine, we want players to have a go) ...

He is just being humble because he should be walking into it from now onwards; I feel like I could walk into the team atm wearing my old Rockports

Hopefully Maatsen forces way into the side & he can form a relationship with Rogers/Guessand; have a go down that side

Hopefully Elliott starts from now on cos my God we cannot control or pass a ball - pretty important

Hopefully Sancho can settle &/or Garcia can force his way in at RB! Have a go!!

Assuming he cares about his career, he has to perform now, be it left, right or even CB! Cos where will he go next summer if he doesn't?

Get him and Maatsen to the byline, providing width, and cutting it back for Ollie, Rogers, Elliott

The most obvious choice for the right side to me yet EVERYONE I see is sticking him on the left side

He may prefer it there & perhaps felt like he could ask to play there when he moved for big money?..

But different times now, no1 wants him & his last best period was primarily on the right for BVB

Big fan of opposition views

I find it mental that others don't want to hear views from the opposition, like how close minded are you?? And just fast forward?

However if that is true about us never winning when it is on, sack it off immediately

Also John doesn't like lasagna and had a salad 🤯😂

Absolutely

Many of the other14 are complicit cos they want to keep the status quo aswell & keep getting the Premier League pay cheque & for PL to be a closed shop

Villa, Newcastle, Forest - sides who want to break in have no chance & no chance at changing to fairer more competitive financial rules

I think it's the initial loan fee that allows it to happen, then the big fee lands next summer when we are less restricted.

There will be another big sale next year that will help allow it too 🥶
