I'll say it again- anyone who thinks this bill isn't going to pass is delusional. Republicans have rendered themselves impotent and will vote for whatever their boss tells them to vote for. There is no drama, it's just a matter of when the vote will happen and what will be in BBB.

Some Republican Senators are talking a big game about opposing OBBBA but I don't believe for one second that any of them have the spine to actually vote against this bill.

-Sunday School. I’m grateful to be part of a church that focuses on the teachings of Jesus rather than bowing down at the altar of false gods.
-A weighted vest walk with one of my best friends who recently lost her job at CDC. Focused on staying strong & healthy.

The IRS estimates that $600 billion in taxes go uncollected each year.
This administration just fired thousands of people who work to audit & collect unpaid taxes from high-earners & large corporations.
I'm sure it will be fine. They'll probably just start paying the correct amount voluntarily.

Today a client asked what the impact would be to his 2025 tax return if they no longer tax Social Security. I answered the question based on his marginal rate but all I could think was “bless his heart, he still thinks this is about lowering taxes for the middle class”.
