Offshore Wind is hardly blameless but it’s also not the only paper contracts to get cancelled during the 2022/2023 inflation bump.

Frankly even if the regulations weren’t so bad at the moment tariffs might be enough to kill projects.

Also pretty sure at least one project got killed by delays in the Charybdis and frankly the blade saga is deeply embarrassing.

There’s actually some interesting numbers on this in the NREL market report. The window of opportunity really coincided with some of the craziest inflation. For example I had not thought of the price of diesel.

Yeah it’s tough to sign
contracts when the EPA is possibly taking away permits and the cost of your inputs may be unclear because of tariffs.

Maybe I am missing something obvious here but the article appears to be entirely missing the relationship between NOAA and the fisheries management councils seems like an odd oversight. It’s more than just “great ocean stuff”.

Maybe not the most relevant topic but general questions about Offshore Wind.

1.) Is he at all worried about Revolution Wind?
2.) What happens now all the port and nascent supply chain development?
3.) Will investment return if the admin changes?
