This is a "what is the definition of insanity?" comment. We're so many games into y'all seeing the problem and recognizing that Pokemon Company/Game Freak/Creatures/Nintendo won't fix it. Please stop. I know you're sad about it. You need to let go.

I don't think I jive with this point because the danger is equaled out w/ Hollow Knight: they seem to offer the same harrowing heal moments. The amount of times one gets wombo-combo'd by flying add/projectile hit into boss contact/spikes in HK was high (shoutouts to Broken Vessel).

So outside of repeated accessibility options discourse, I wonder how much of the difficulty curve for players is just because the game does not freeze the action with a pop-up window and short video giving an example of how movement can be utilized offensively.

Oh, and us forgetting contact damage.

And though this is anecdotal, I've now come across several streamers - obviously this is its own skill subset among the gaming population, but stick with me - that consistently forget their movement options during boss fights.

Dash, float, climb, pogo; boss fights start requiring said skill usage.

The 1st boss you fight has a low charge attack that can be punished with Hornet's divekick, but nothing in the fight requires you to do so. Another boss you can run into a few areas later does not require any tech either.

But an unnamed red ant enemy is devilishly hard if you do not use the dash.

The delay is long because of SH/FFT in September, and just look at October. While the game was ready for a September 3 release we won't be sitting around. There were several endings and activities we were going to patch as a free update which will now be available at launch. Also adding ambient BGM.
October scares me.

I would mention the Takashi Miike mode as well but I'm busy chuckling that he's announced as "thedirector of 13 Assassins" (which of course) but I know him best for ruining my sleep with Ichi the Killer and Audition lol
