Way Back Love. Not into a melodrama streak just went through what was highly rated recently. And they just happened to make you feel deeply lol. Is there anyone not struggling? You can't force happiness on anyone. May everyone learn to forgive themselves. And that they live the life they deserve. 10

Is it just me feeling like a boomer or Onenote is just too fucking ridiculous? I'm just looking for something and it's giving a bunch of garbage I don't need.

Summer Strike. The surge of isekais reflects on society's collective fatigue. We're all tired. Who doesnmt want a reset in this rat race? To see someone actually what we're longing for, do things we wanted but feared - earn less so we earn more time, and ultimately, be truly happy. Catharsis. 8.5

Our Unwritten Seoul. For a Slice of life this didn't have a scene that's dragging. Nothing over the top, everything's too real. And anyone will find a piece to connect with, as everyone's struggling in their own way. Hope we all learn to be selfforgiving and find the healing we all deserve. 9.5

Bacalhau com natas and bacalhau à Lagareiro. Manteigaria pastel. Yum!

Everything we had was great. Food like everything else always included tax, prices are cheaper than Toronto's ane best of all, tips aren't mandatory. What's not to like? Probably the fact that we couldn't bring home pastels.

Just before new year's, we dined at 10pm somewhere near the shore. Again, I was shocked - it was the best salmon I've ever had all my life. A huge belly portion, grilled to perfection. Juicy, succulent and buttery. Also got fish soup and calamari. Wish I could just always get fresh seafood anytime.

This one I can't forget. Just a small family resto at Cascais, we got carbonara and it wasn't traditional Italian, and grilled fresh sardines. I have never eaten sardines that good in my life. I'd eat it everyday if only.

Posta de bacalhau assada no forno com grelos e batataninhas and steak. Unfortunately, while cheaper in Portugal, Toronto's steaks are just next level.

Pataniscas de bacalhau, camarão frito. Couldn't forget how it took more than an hour for food to arrive but all was well as food was as expected, deliciosa.

Burras c/ migas de tomate, vazia c/ molho de manteiga e presunto, cocumelos em molho de amendoim. And a complementary bottle of basil flavoured liqueur. We were reminded that everything is for sharing.

So far this has been my fave so we're remembering it - Taberna Sal Grosso Évora

Arroz de pato - duck rice and steak at a random resto which turned out to be famous for having gluten free options which is rare in the city. Also was starting to see a trend with small restos being normally understaffed and orders taking a long time to get served.

At Timeout, I was misheard and got this Pastéis de Bacalhau com Arroz de Tomate, which apparently is common fare here. Not complaining, it was really good. If only I could say that to food courts in Canada and the Phils.

I ate pastéis de nata at least thrice a day against the general advice of any health professional but how could anyone not?

Not counting hotel breakfast as it's standard fare across three municipalities - buffet with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, breads, fruits, cheeses. Would've loved fish but they don't do peixe for brekkie.

Petiscos with presunto, bacalhau and Chouriço. Part of our gastro tour.

It's our last night. Will miss this place but we really miss our babies more. Time to talk about food. I guess we weren't off to a good start when we came as we ordered bitoque from a deli near our first hotel. It was exactly what it said in the description - beef ot chicken, fries, rice and egg.

Worst time to be in Lisbon is Dec 31st-Jan 1st. Museums, castles, stores are closed. Bonus when the weather's dreary. Guess when we're actually here. 😅

Not all too bad but wished at least the supermarkets are open.

We just wanted to check what they planned for midnight and ended up seeing multiple fireworks shows over the Atlantic from our high vantage point. Hope the new year can bring unexpected pleasant surprises like this.

Had a lot of pains this year, and I wasn't alone. Even today, I couldn't even wish people back home a Happy New Year. Nonetheless, I pray everyone gets better, and comes out stronger and on top of whatever life brings this 2026. And yes we reaaaaallly miss our babies already. Be home soon!
