(1) Not buying it. In any other case the investigation(s) would have moved on. Other people would be charged.
(2) Trump is not the first or last POTUS to weaponize the DOJ. The DOJ is independent when it's convenient. i'm no lawyer, but the precedence for this behavior isn't new.

Protestors will always and have always been considered violent. It don't matter if they are violent or not, the establishment will still call them violence. And yes, the cops will always treat you as violent no matter what you do. My point is, get used to being treated like a violent person.
