Rock music fan, festival goer, old but not giving up yet. Here in case it's the one that takes off when Musk has killed twitter. Covid avoider. Fascinated but also a bit baffled by conspiracy theorists and unintelligent people.
This was the barrier for the band before (there were people further back). At the end of their set I went to get a beer, a few minutes later it was already filling up, so I claimed my spot!

Sorry, no, my old phone's battery can't cope with videoing, so I stick to a couple of photos. Have got my battery pack but it's heavy in my pocket, I like to travel light! Someone videoed some, but not sure who she was (seemed to be a 'regular').

The bloke wasn't watching them anyway, people are so unreliable! After I wrote it down for him and all 😅 Others did, though, and they went down very well.

Yeah, can think of a few people who get away with worse, and on purpose, too, rather than mistakenly. I think most sensible people know who the good guys are.

He just retweeted someone's tweet about Gaza, think it might have been a video, but didn't notice the rat emoji that was included with it. So, not noticing (or not realising the significance of) the rat means that's what everyone's talking about (which is no surprise, tbh)

Exactly, but it is twitter, after all!
(I still refuse to call it anything else 🙂)

It was quite feasible I hadn't learned much about it because I was more interested in motorbikes / boys / rock music than school at that time, but I'm glad it isn't just something I've forgotten, which is a worry at my age! Svrl now agreeing with me over on twitter, regarding the use of rat emoji!

I'm stupid and didn't get taught history at school, just because I hadn't known of the use of the term rat. Thing is, when I was at school, WW2 wasn't really history cos it was relatively recent!

Oh damn, that's really not good at all 😒

Oh wow, chuffed to bits for you, congratulations!

Mean to put him up against Crows! I thought they'd probably win by a mile, so I gave John my vote ☺️

It feels like his local pub landlord mate buying a £1.3M manor house has been forgotten lately.

To be fair, I was already a bit lonely, but able to do something about it, going to gigs regularly. I hunkered down with some books and jigsaws a couple of weeks before official lockdown, thinking I could probably manage fine for 6 weeks or so, thinking that was all would be needed. Imagine that!

For a brief period of time, it felt like everyone cared about each other (well, not everyone, of course). I was extremely lonely and missed people, but some great local and online communities sprung up supporting others.
What a bloody mess it's all been since 😔

I'm always behind, but it's nice to be able to listen whenever I want.

Tinny sound from phone. If I used my tablet and tried to tweet, for example, the show would stop playing now and then, so I bought a cheap Echo cos the sound was much better and I could still have conversations! (Don't have a laptop)

Great funky version of I Hear You Knocking at the end there!

I only drink beer (made in this country), is anyone here/in EU bothered about US-made stuff?
