Thanksgiving came early with all the great food at both the Nehawka United Methodist Church annual auction and the Cass County Democrats Potluck at the Louisville Civic Center.

It’s always wonderful to see old and new friends in the community.

It was a wonderful fall day to knock doors and meet folks in the community before tonight’s Husker game. 🍂🏈

Downtown Plattsmouth has so many historic homes and tree lined streets. It’s truly a fantastic place to live.

Thank you to all those who have served. Today we honor the men and women who have worn the uniform.

Growing up, I often heard stories from my grandfather who served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Constellation during the Vietnam War.

We have an obligation to our veterans.

Stopped on Main Street in Plattsmouth for a coffee meeting yesterday with our Nebraska Public Power District board member Mary Harding. I’m so grateful to have her support in this race.
November 8, 2025 at 4:34 PM
I started my morning by dropping off some donations at Conestoga and chatting with school officials. I’m so proud of our district, administrators, educators, and students. I’ll be an ally for public education in the legislature.

Happy Halloween! 🎃👻 Team Speed is wishing everyone a safe and fun night.

We had a fantastic Halloween on Main St in Plattsmouth joined by Eric Moyer for Congress.

The only scary thing tonight is Nebraska’s $451 million deficit brought to you by the people in power.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is paused in Nebraska beginning Wednesday, October 29th. 150,000 Nebraskans rely on SNAP benefits.

I am so grateful for Susan Lorence and Ray Newton who hosted our game day tailgate and for those in the Plattsmouth community who spent their Saturday with us.

Susan ran a strong campaign for Legislative District 2 in 2018 and I am honored to have her endorsement.

Lincoln was the place to be last night. We had a phenomenal house party hosted by Sharlette Schwenninger.

Lincolnites are excited about our people-powered campaign to recenter Nebraska politics around working people and the future of our state.

Last night I had the opportunity to speak at the October Lincoln Central Labor Union meeting. From electricians to bus drivers, working Nebraskans and organized labor deserve an ally in the Legislature.

Driving across the district today as our farmers are hard at work harvesting the crops that feed the world. It’s truly a beautiful time of year as the amber waves of grain make way for the winter. 🌾
