There's a MUCH bigger problem with Cass's new Service Specification for the GIDS/Tavistock replacement services: COMPULSORY medical research on kids. This is indisputably UNETHICAL under UK laws & medical regulations. Dr Hilary Cass needs to be dragged in front of a GMC tribunal for this!

CMAGIC is as desegregated and close to WPATH as we can make it whilst still being funded by the NHS. We have no psych* in the service, prescribing & referral for surgery is performed by GP's. Anything further requires changes to UK law & medical regulations.

Please ensure that you keep your current GIC informed of your up-to-date contact details so that CMAGIC are able to contact you when you become eligible to transfer!

Lists of patients who are eligible for transfer will then be sent by NHS England & legacy GIC's to CMAGIC who will then contact you to give you the option to transfer to CMAGIC.

Once these waiting lists have been reduced to acceptable levels, NHS England will allow CMAGIC (and all other pilots) to start accepting direct referrals from your GP's. If you live in the intake region and wish to be referred to CMAGIC you need to first be referred to another legacy GIC.

The service has been awarded a 7 vear contract: 5 years standard + 2 years reserve (the period during which further contract renewal occurs). CMAGIC will continue to take patients resident in Merseyside, Cheshire & on the Wirral who are currently on the waiting lists for other GIC's.
