My fav jobs to get really deep in the weeds on were dancer, bard, orator, calculator, and dragoon.

The combo of, i think it was calculator and black mage or orator and calculator or just a powerful dancer could just annihilate the enemies in a few turns.

Its another way that it reminds me of FF5. It encourages you to mess with the job system in a way that is almost like an exploit. The right combo of stats and abilities can just wipe out enemies, and it feels satisfying in a way that just grinding cannot.

I think Shadow of the Colossus is kind of like this. It intentionally plays in such a way that its not your typical action RPG. It wants you to feel overwhelmed by the Colossi and the world itself.

Oh absolutely. It has a bit of a learning curve, but its not super esoteric or anything.

In fact, compared to other tactical rpgs prior to this, its arguably much more accessible than average. It reminds me a bit of Shining Force in that sense.

Tactics is similar to FF5 in that the only real reason to grind is if you want to just go all in on mastering every corner of the job system.

Like I know thats the conventional wisdom anyway, but its really kind of stunning. The level of drama Trump and the right are trying to drum up around it make it sounds like Comey went on live TV and threw someone off a building or something.

It kinda reminds me of the long term reaction to the Dobbs decision. Some people in media seemed both confused and annoyed that support for abortion INCREASED.

Or, as I saw someone put it…”the press will never forgive the American people for defying their conventional wisdom on abortion.”
