I'm an explorer, adventurer, backpacker, hiker, and camper who recently moved to the state of Alaska, here you'll find my stories.
Once we got into Yukon, the one place we had to stop at was the sign forest. It was amazing seeing everything that people before me had left, I left a piece my self, the license plate from the car I traded in to make this move possible.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

Once we got on the Alaska Highway, everything really started to feel real. We stayed the night at Muncho lake in BC, the land out here is gorgeous, nothing like snow topped mountains, my favorite thing in the world.

I slept through just about all of Colorado, we stopped for the night in Wyoming, woke up to see some of the mountains in Wyoming. We continued up until we got into Canada. I was pretty surprised to see how flat southern Alberta was. After this point we found a place to stop and stay close to BC.

It took almost 10 hours to hit New Mexico, and from there we finally started seeing the Rockies in thr distance, our next destination was Colorado. Unfortunately I slept through most of the Colorado portion. Here is some of what I saw going through New Mexico!
