Depending on the shipping costs, you might still have been able to get it cheaper from a US store. But more than happy for you to get the UK version. (Don’t tell anyone, but there are slightly more gags on the “all rights reserved etc” page in the UK version)

Buy seven. Friends and family.

And thirdly, there’s a PDF attachment with the maps so you can look at them when you’re not driving or trying to fall asleep.

The audiobook is a brilliant way to consume this book. Firstly, Mark and I read it ourselves. Secondly, it’s a book full of stories ABOUT maps, so unlike a road atlas, you don’t need to see the maps to understand and enjoy it….

Errr…. I think…. 8:30pm…ish? Best phone up Waterstones in Bristol and ask them.

If you ask me, best way to improve that junction is to put the big green plastic dragon statue thing back.

Is there an argument for deliberately pinching the traffic here, so that it’s released more slowly and steadily into Southend, and the cars do more of their idling and polluting in the middle of nowhere rather than in Southend’s suburbs?

@tiernandouieb.bsky.social Just thought I’d let you know my son just told me The Monster Badge is his favourite episode of Hey Duggee.

For reasons that will become clear when the next episode of #MapMen comes out at the end of October, we’ve got a very unusual leftover prop - an enormous, cold, unseasoned but totally edible roast pork.

What delicious things could we do with it?

I don’t care if there’s an easier way.
Piles of paper with crudely hand-drawn animation frames.

You haven’t thought about the song No Such Thing by John Mayer in 20 years.

To answer your second question…

Yes, the “Manchester” event is in Bramhall, a fairly long way from Manchester city centre. We thought it was an odd choice of location too, but apparently Simply Books put on excellent events with great audiences. And we go wherever our publishers send us.

To answer your first question…

Yes, you should cancel your online order. The Manchester event takes place one day before the book’s officially published, so unless you want two copies (which we do not discourage by the way) you’re better off buying one at the book signing.

Yeah, pretty much. Sorry, St Albans! Off to Manchester with you!

The current map is already based, sort of, on travel time. I’m proposing a map where lots of people will have to travel further, but they’ll have a fairer chance of getting tickets.

MAP CHALLENGE!! 🗺️

Make this map fairer. Redraw the boundaries so each book signing serves roughly the same sized population.

Want to ask me or @markcooperjones.bsky.social literally any question and we have to answer?

Here is a handy map of the UK split into five zones according to which is your nearest location on our This Way Up BOOK TOUR in October. 🗺️📕
