Yeah, last season our goalies were enough of a positive difference to tilt games we should have lost into being competitive. If Monty regresses this season, that’s a very different standard this team will have to deal with.

I like what I’m seeing from the #GoHabsGo this game. They’ve got jump. They know where each other is on the ice. Their passes are connecting. They’re winning board battles and coming away with the puck.

Bottom line, this is going to be a fun team to watch this season.

I think the measure of a sport’s popularity is the profile of the advertisers on TV broadcasts. So far, ads on the ESPN+ broadcast of the #GoHabsGo - leafs game were for obscure drugs (including one for schizophrenia) and a local car dealer.

Translation: The NHL is a bottom-feeder.
