It is not just Berlin. I was in Hannover, the S-Bahn and/or RE to airport from HBF just did not come for more than 45 mins. Eventually, i just took a taxi - did not want risk missing my flight. Same in Munich, someone I went to pick arriving from Frankfurt, arrived 45+mins late on ICE.

I find Halle (S) as the prettiest train station though yes I would rate Bremen very high as well. Also, Düsseldorf surprised me with the sheer size and scale of services and laden available way late into the night.

I echo you. And i believe this picture is from MUC - the best airport in Germany. I have been here almost 15 yrs and things are starting to get old and brittle. Hopefully not fragile before the fix happens.

My inspiration is an aunt of my wife - she is 80+ yrs old, daily 06:30 in the morning, gets on her bycycle and rides to Church and then supermarket. Has had fair share of accidents, falls, etc. nothing deters her. And i tell myself, if she can do it, why not I :)
