I wonder if the canucks looking like a new and improved team has him more keen to rest up. Like if the team went 0-3-1 in his absence and looked listless would be have thought: "eff this, I'm gonna go play w my bro and close buddies"

It's frustrating, but they're just looking for "fan engagement" positive or negative, and all of these national media sites know: nothing drives fan engagement like farfetched statements about the canucks (or... probably... the leafs too)

On JL... 2 +1 = 3 night on the farm... I'd say he's a mainstay top 6 in ≈2 years

3-3... maybe 4-2 if they can close out Buff quickly and Quinn gets a rest. They're gonna be dead tired for Minn, it's almost forgone at this point 🙄

I totally agree. 56 points would be good. When I posted this (before his 3 point night last night), he was on a 45pt pace. I don't think that at the AAV he's getting and the potential for increased usage on thr Canucks (vs BOS) expectations of a >50pt season is unrealistic.

Currently, bottom line, I agree, but it's been 18 games. Seasons and careers last longer than that (usually). I'm just wondering if someone who follows the team closely, like JPat, sees more than what I'm seeing, which so far doesn't look inspiring

Do you think DeBrusk will ever live up to his contract? I know living up to the expectations put upon him by this marketplace is a lofty goal, but the contract seems attainable (5.5M) at least for the first few years. Is it just bad luck? His advanced stats look decent.
