Tomorrow I’ll share with Rep. Boebert my concerns regarding some of the rhetoric floating around regarding Social Security, On Friday, I’ll send her a message regarding the imperialistic approach we’ve taken regarding Greenland. I’d encourage everyone to call or write your elected officials.

Earlier this morning, I asked Rep. Boebert how she can support the U.S. standing on the sidelines, turning its back on the atrocities already committed, when its practice so clearly conflicts with her own beliefs.

…she dedicates the book to her four boys, “who I promised would never grow up in a socialist country…”. I’m glad she didn’t make similar promises about growing up in a dictatorship or an oligarchy, headed my a megalomaniac. We wouldn’t want her to break promises to her children, would we?

The average household receives $2,724 in SNAP benefits annually. With weekly golf trips, taxpayers can assume spending $52 million annually for travel to and from. That amount divided by the average two-person household benefit amount equals 19,089 households per year, near to SNAP count in CD4 .

I just wrote my Representative, Lauren Boebert, asking where she was. Clearly, I’m not expecting a response. Lots of colorful signs were held, many of which can’t be repeated here😃.

I pointed out that staff at Social Security had dropped from 67,000 in 2010 to 57,000 in 2025, while the number of beneficiaries, nationally, had increased from 60 million to 73 million over the same timeframe. I reminded her that Elon Musk has proposed a further reduction in workforce of 7,000.

In seems incongruous to both support the XO and at the same time, support decimating cuts to Medicaid that, with near statistical certainty, will shorten people’s lives. I reminded Rep. Boebert that there are 150,000 individuals in her congressional district that receive Medicaid coverage.

A closer look at life expectancy statistics finds that the top 1% earners is the U.S. have a life expectancy between 10 and 15 years longer than those in the bottom 1%. A separate study found that Medicaid recipients had longer life expectancies than those not on Medicaid.

That said, even a single death is one too many and all could have been avoided had Russia not invaded Ukraine. What’s compelled me to write this post is the consistent reference to Trump’s and Vance’s comparison of the conflict being a card game with Ukraine not holding any cards. How thoughtless!
