I grew up in a snow state. I came to the Pacific Northwest to not have snowy winters. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the thick, deep silence after a snow covered forest.

I had a 60s copy of the Hobbit from my dad, then worked into his copies of the trilogy. As a gift I received on my 10th birthday, the Rankin-Bass illustrated version of the hobbit.

While my mapmaking is not spectacular, it does let my world live and breathe. It also allows me to work through trauma and FND (functional neurological disorder).
