With every drawing, I'm reminded of how much I don't know and how much further I need to go to become the artist I want to be.

But I'm happy with how this turned out despite how much I stumbled~

Continuing on with more Rossdraw assignments on gesture, this time with an emphasis on exaggeration over rendering.

Still need a lot of practice, it's difficult to figure out what aspects to push and by how much. 😅

Had quite a journey with this one. Translating real-life hair has always been something I've struggled with and I wanted to try and be more deliberate with learning how to place my lines.

Rendering is another story, but for the time being I really dig the comic-esque vibe. 😊

Further gesture study with emphasis on anatomy. Rendering this one was fun, I'm starting to get a better understanding of representing forms without relying too much on lines.

I still have to figure out how to deal with the harsher shadows without making it look muddy.

Currently going through Rossdraws's old digital art bootcamp that I signed up for a couple of years back (better late than never 😅).

Assignments right now are based on gesture drawing and accurate observation but I'm learning a lot about shading and rendering along the way too.

New year, same ambitions.

I've always been apprehensive about sharing my art for one reason or another, a feeling I imagine many artists can relate to. But it's finally time to change that.
