Honestly the doom posting helped me get through how I felt too. Just a lot of folks processing similar feelings of just watching things start to get worse again. Though now it’s been nice seeing how everyone is starting to take control of things and just general optimism growing

I got out after seeing the trending tab after the election results were all but confirmed. Just a bunch of sore winners and I sure as hell didn’t want to see what the rat had to say. This place has just been nice to get into a positive headspace with rational thinking people

I think it’s a bit of both. Election results just made people wanna escape Twitter from the smugness of the other side. Then following it the other side got a little more rowdy and hostile and so people wanted to come where more peaceful folk rest
