Unconfirmed atm but hearing the new pope will very likely be catholic. It’s worked for the Vatican in the past and theres a certain ‘if it ain’t broke’ attitude in their thinking on this one. Will be interesting to see either way.

For the first time I'm struggling to get through an audiobook because the narrator is so bad. Can't bring myself to give up but can't imagine it means I'll give the book a good review, too.

Bluesky feels a bit less interesting now it's becoming more mainstream. More centrists and stuff moving over here. Or right wing writers who just want more chance to market their stuff.

Even Facebook seems a lot more alt-right and rage baiting recently. I need to start posting here more.

Feel like this is going to generate some discussion this week. Feel like my friendship group does tend to read but I also work in education and enjoy writing so I'm probably skewing the average. Also, I don't keep a large friend circle.

The Apprentice (2024) -- Who is this for? Not really the biting satire I would expect. Not a positive portrayal but not as negative as I would expect, either? Two great performances carry an odd tone.
