Headline is kind of misleading. The bonuses are retention bonuses. Going through this you need to keep key people to make the process go as smoothly as possible. That said... no severance?!?!? That is a special kind of F'd up

Sorry, not too familiar with US Social Security. The required payments are capped but isn't the amount you get on retirement capped as well? It would make more sense to claw back the retirement benefit if your income is high? That way money stays in the system for those who need it.

I worked for a Japanese company and was told that their employees in Japan would never go on strike. Instead they would wear their ball caps backwards as a sign of protest. Wearing pink is just about effective. JFC is bang on.

It’s still surreal. I’m at the end of my career but so many young people, including my son are just entering Ontario’s manufacturing workforce and they are facing a massive question mark for their futures.
