So worn out by this. "Rugged individualism" is stripping naked and wandering out into the woods to live without assistance from anyone anywhere. Who wants to put their money where their mouth is and try that?

I have been making this suggestion but as a unified protest of rampant consumerism. Our own family does Secret Santa which has saved a lot of cash. I wonder if Trump is just getting ahead of the knowledge that holiday spending will fall so he can claim it went down because of his suggestion.

People can't seem to fathom how much a BILLION is. Someone making $200k/yr is paying some of that in taxes, some of it on living expenses, and the rest is disposable, hopefully some saved for retirement. They are orders of magnitude closer to poverty than they are to being a billionaire.

In 2020, someone asked me why I would vote for Biden (because of his age). I answered that I wasn't voting for Biden, I was voting for all of the people he was going to surround himself with, I was voting for a future Cabinet, future judicial appointments, a future DOJ, etc...
