I feel absurdly pleased over just gaining my first ever Fortnite Victory Royale. I'm nearly 60, terrible at games and I just won .. hah :)

I'm starting to wonder if Elmo has ordered his minions to push more hardcore MAGA shit on to people's timelines on Twitter.
I've always tried to remain fairly neutral (in general..heh) but the amount of lunatics I've seen over there lately has skyrocketed.

I remember thinking back in January when I booked up to go to Amsterdam in March that it seemed so far away I wouldn't have to bother about it for a while and now I'm going the day after tomorrow ..

You could describe my brain as somewhat of a 'chaos factory' at the moment but gosh dang it (as the kids clearly say..), I've only gone and taken the leap and booked up to go to Amsterdam in March. First time out of the country in 30+ years and I'm not at all terrified .. *cough*

I have watched this movie every New Year's Eve for the past 10 years and, hopefully, I'll continue doing that for the next ten. It brought some much needed normality to the end of a horrible year last night.

I found an old proverb which read "The tree desires stillness but the wind will not cease. The son wants to take care of his parents but they are gone". I read that on the way home on a bus last month and it did me in so that's the tattoo.

I made some promises though, and I even have a list. A BIG list!. I still have that devil on my shoulder that's already telling me "No, it's too much effort. People are weird and don't like you" but I need to ping that bugger off into the wall. First order of business is a new tattoo.
