It’s sooooo nasty. If software was a shopping mall, Animate would be a store where the lights need replacing and items are precariously stacked in such a way that could injure an unaware shopper.

They used to buy football teams, nowadays they by far-right media orgs, social media platforms and BS AI outfits - it's all to divide people and erode democracy. If their ability to do that fails they're in big trouble.

It's probably quite a profitable grift to make fake news and then have Elmo comment on it and have it many bots amplify his 'sagely musings'. He really needs a fact checker implant of some sort because clearly the notes in that cesspool he does not read.

I generally think Hipkins is centre right and needs to go, as he’d implement watered down socialist ideas that embarrassingly straddle a fence. Labour would benefit from a new leader and some fresher ideas. He ran out at the end of their last term, which might be part of the issue here.
