Started NieR:Replicant yesterday. Got flashbanged by Hazel and Gretel being the first bosses of the game.
Also I thought I was naming my savefile at the start, not giving name to Brother Nier so now his name is Toska, oops.
And Weiss gives off major Excalibur from Soul Eater vibes, I like them.

That's something I imagine it looking like! Roughness and carved patterns are important for the work of the wooden familiar. Here, the stone looks like it's embedded into tree hollow, and the symbol is supposed to be a mix between Arcanist icon, Lodestar, and guardian light seen in Aloalo quests.

Oh yeah, Pi's hands are pretty scarred. He's a carpenter, he makes things out of wood. He got a lot of those when he was starting out, but he got better.
Not all of them are chisel inflicted tho, but most of them are anyway.
