I spent the day in North Minneapolis, starting at a student-led mayoral forum. I told the kids what I’ll do for them, and reminded folks that I have 3 kids in Minneapolis Public Schools. For the first time in 25 years, the next mayor will truly know what families face every day. #jazzformayor

So we did our own. A deeper dive that accounts for ranked choice tells a different tale: Jazz gained 8 points from August to September, putting him just 5 points of total support behind the incumbent.

The DOJ lawsuit against Minneapolis is an attack on our values. I’ll use my legal experience to defend our sanctuary policies and protect every resident’s rights.

Your property taxes only cover 30 percent of the city budget.

The rest should come from smart revenue, grants, and aid.

As mayor, I will push to grow that 70 percent and make our city budget work harder for the people of Minneapolis.
