The same sun rise, set, and shine on the poor folks too"

Abbott and Patrick have been in office since 2015, $1 million for a warning system was too much. With 80 lives lost that works out to be $12,500 per soul!

Kerr County asked Texas to help pay for a flood warning system for 8 years. Can it happen now? www.houstonchronicle.com/news/investi...
Kerr County asked Texas for help multiple times in 8 years. It said no.
Kerr County and the Upper Guadalupe River Authority have tried several times to get funding to upgrade flood alerts on the river, dating back to 2016.

Once again, I turn to world-renowned economist Paul Krugman to explain the rationale behind Trump's economic policy. He confirms, there is no rationale, it's all the hallucinations of a old man in the grips of dementia.

Krugman seems to find Hanlon's Razor ("Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.") inadequate to describe the actions of Trump's merry band of pranksters. You be the judge.

Schumer needs to go. It's as urgent as when Biden needed to go after the first debate.
Some intel: I've talked to journalists and folks on the Hill about this. Last night after OMB's action, some Senate Dems tried to unify the caucus to vote against Duffy. Schumer, among others, opposed it, and it flopped.

The current Dem leadership strategy is to use strong language but not do shit.
Yesterday, every Democrat voted to advance Sean Duffy (DOT)'s nomination.

In protest against Trump's unconstitutional freezing of federal funds, 22 Democrats voted NO on confirmation today.

Glad to see more demonstrated urgency. But that 22 should be 47.
