The developer who replied to the issue on their github said an update had been pushed to the store; looks like they were as good as their word. Good job Bluesky team 👍

Thank you so much. He had a great life, full of love, and lived to a good age. And his passing was peaceful, with his human with him. He did pretty well, all things considered!
