There’s a whole other thing in there too about how all the successful variants of spitfire were “intermediate” versions before the “proper” improved ones, which never really made it to service.

Bronze, bronze wheels look good on everything*, and body coloured is too matchy-matchy, white would also be acceptable.

650km range for 33kwh seems high, I never got more than 140miles out of my i3 with that size of battery and my bikes have never been much better on fuel than cars, except for a 125. But those charging speeds are great.

My Cheshire village is slowly being isolated as the bridges over little streams get damaged and the council is unable to fix them until at least next year.

I should add it probably is true of older, pre-steel truss rod instruments, which will warp being just wood.

I’ve always suspected this is nonsense, the truss rod is already under plenty of tension and leaning it applies very little force, it’s not going to yield and it won’t creep unless your rickenbackers on fire.
The real reason not to lean them is they inevitably fall over and break a tuning head.

I’ve always wondered if it’s because they’re lazy, because most papers are paywalled, or because they know they (at best) massively over simplify any science story.

Exactly, the ISO date standard isn’t the US one, and I’ve complained on here before about their insistence on using *F even in quite technical applications.
