A belated Merry Christmas to my Bluesky family. As we slid into Christmas, I have been flat out with returning to work (NOT as simple as one would expect), medical appointments and an MRI on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day was a huge day of driving and catching up with family.

Some new Nyx pix. Yesterday marked one week since bringing her home and she seems to be settling in nicely. She’s content to be around me and is curled up on my bed right now. Nighty night and happy full moon 🌕🐈⬛💜🌙✨

I’ve been a tad quiet of late (again). This year has been a series of health challenges; but such is life. Earlier this week, this happened. Please welcome Nyx! She was found underneath a house with her litter of five kittens and rescued. She is estimated to be 12-18 months old. She’s so sweet 🥹🐈⬛🖤

An early evening walk straight after work to disengage from the day. I have only just started walking again as part of my recovery and physio. Easy does it (for now).

Went on an outing with some friends today. Went to the lavender farm - for lunch and a long meandering drive back, stopping to look for a platypus or two. Didn’t find any, but had a wonderful day.

Eyebrow tint ✅
Eyebrow tint colour was a shade darker than normal so I left it on for what I thought was a shorter and sensible amount of time. Now people in space can read my facial expressions.

I just found out that my lovely aunt passed away. She lived on the other side of the world from me so we would have phone calls and video chats. Then she suddenly went quiet and I wondered if I had upset her. Turns out she had alzheimers and couldn’t use a phone without help. Love you Aunty Jan 💜

Hmmm… I’m a bit concerned I may not be able to get a boot on next week. Not sure what I’ve done wrong, but my foot and ankle are swollen again (not in this pic - this was taken last night) 😬

I think it’s finally happening - I suspect I may be in the process of being adopted by my local magpie couple. This afternoon I came home from work and had to change quickly before heading off to my hair appointment. I heard chortling at the front door

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a whole year since I last saw this sweet little face. It’s been a difficult and strange adjustment and I hate it. Planned a long drive to my favourite spot today. Caught a chill instead. Miss you buddy 💜
