It may melt next week but it is definitely turning to winter here. Time to get my winter bike prepped and dig out some warmer clothes! I remember fighting bitter winds and a couple feet of snow to attend remembrance day services not that long so this isn’t exceptional or surprising.

So not only do we have too short of a season to do photos outside this far north all the pests want to come in when it starts freezing at night. My tents are in the garage so not really a closed space. Warm but easy for bugs to get into. 🙁

I don’t cover mine if they don’t wilt.I use solo cups with sunshine #4 and distilled water.Ziploc bags upside down with a puff of my breath and a little spritz inside the baggie if they do.I try to let the soil dry out from initial wetting until just damp.Usually transplant after 10 to 15 days.

Disclaaimer: I quit smoking 3 wks ago but will continue gardening. I like productive plants and a seasonal veg garden has it’s own rewards!

Seven years ago we visited Karl Marx’s grave at Highgate Cemetery where we were visited by a black cat and then went to see Caro Emerald at Royal Albert Hall. Best Halloween Ever!!!

Even as a Canadian I’m grateful for your father’s service. I’m happy he got to return. This is my Grandfather’s grave in Germany. Killed by fascists, leaving 9 and 11 yr old boys on a farm in Northern Ontario and a widow who had plead with him not to volunteer. I am antifa.

My Grandfather as well. He as a navigator in Halifax bomber in the RCAF but he never came back. My dad was 9.

Getting tougher as I get older but still totally worth it! I upgraded to a Fluid F2 this year but will use the Roscoe in the winter with it’s studded tires.
