CDDL licensing means Oracle can't do shit to anyone about the ZFS IP despite Oracle being a law firm that sells software on the side. The only ones that have a problem w/ the CDDL are GPL zealots bc the CDDL isn't the one, true, righteous license. Everyone else uses ZFS and gets on with their work.

I do like that the TikTok business is teaching a whole new generation to hate Oracle.

If a modern day astronomy professor tried to argue that epicycles were in fact the correct model of the planets, he wouldn't be a professor for much longer. Yet, this guy seems to keep arguing the legal equivalent of epicycles and geocentrism yet keeps his job.
