Open Evening for us tomorrow so I'll know your pain in 24 hours when I get home.

That's rough 😮‍💨

In #MathsToday my #ALevelMaths classes got stuck into the compound angle formulas, after deriving them yesterday we looked at their applications in proofs and solving and then I introduced the harmonic form, we'll explore this further later in the week.

Where are the celebration police? Are Man City allowed to celebrate that much after scraping a 1-0 win at Brentford? Or does that just apply to... never mind.

Arsenal have only allowed 5.32 expected goals against in their first 10 games of the season despite going to Man Utd, Liverpool and Newcastle and playing Man City at home. One open-play goal conceded. Seven clean sheets. Seriously impressive. #afc

I challenge Anthony Taylor to run at full speed and not fall over when pushed in the back, even gently.

At this point, it feels like a social experiment to see how far they can push it...

Shall we start a petition for all questions to use theta instead of x?

I'm sure we all do it at times, I agree though, noticing it in students work here and there.

I actually wrote cosex instead of cosecx when modelling a proof today, turns out 17/18 year olds are not that mature.

In #MathsToday my students were put into groups and asked to complete some proofs using trigonometric identities. Really pleased to see students supporting each other and encouraging some of the quieter students to share their thoughts on the whiteboards. #ALevelMaths

Don't worry, we derived them also. Just trying to make the learning memorable.

In #MathsToday I made my students cringe by stating "tans are sexy" and "cots are cosy". That's right, we threw two new trig identities into the mix!

Not surprised to see Joe Hart backing the goalkeeper though

They're right to say Pope's foot was planted but his knee was still moving towards Gyökeres so that ruins the "no forward motion" argument.

Sir @tim-stillman.bsky.social with the greatest post-match voice note I have ever heard. Get the entire transcript on the side of the Emirates immediately.

I don't think it changed drastically, we were dominant throughout, we just happened to put the late chances away. Eze had two good opportunities, Timber had one and Trossard hit the post, all before Ødegaard came on. Sounds like Eddie trying to make out that they weren't under the cosh all game.

I like "grown man" Saka, not being afraid to call out the VAR nonsense.

Ball don't lie #COYG

There is absolutely zero chance that the penalty decision gets reversed at the other end. Slightest touch of the ball means that you can trip an opponent to prevent him reaching the ball to try and score apparently.

I'd be interested to know how many managers make the list, he's not dreadful but he's not up there with the best in the world in my opinion.

Is Redknapp on the sauce today? Said that Josh King's dive wasn't a dive and just said that Eddie Howe is one of the best managers in the world 😳

An excellent way to start their day! On a serious note, it's great to give them that reminder of what they are capable of.

No, not at all! Interpret the question however you like, just wondered if there was anything more general that you use.
