Same! My last lumia was a 950 which I fired up earlier this year and still runs great! (Well minus actually using any apps 😄)
Post Android 10 has been very enjoyable on a Pixel though

In my experience when a power supply fails it's completely dead and there's a "smell" involved. I would suspect memory or some other component. Might be worth reseating everything and try booting with a single memory stick at a time.
