The pagan theory of Xmas origins is wrong whenever it implies Christians should feel bad about celebrating Dec 25 but right whenever it implies Atheists, Occultniks, and Pagans shouldn't.

The only organized crime I my story so far are the Hags. It's hard to pin down a term for exactly what they are. Doctor Wode is not a good person but she's best understood as a priestess-cheif not a charismatic cult leader or a mob boss, but they are criminals. Pirates? #<3OCWorld #WorldBuilding

A comics convention I'm applying for announced they want LGBT creators and stuff like that always gives me the weirdest kind of imposter syndrome. Alvin is really doing a lot of heavy lifting bc I think the queerness in my stuff is otherwise kind of diffuse and hard to "point at"

I have two ideas that don't fit the setting I've built for my comics. One I think I could tweak to work. Maybe for the other I should do something where one or more of my OCs act as host in a framing device or its a story-within-a-story, IDK.

All of Alvin's storylines so far are him trying to stop some sort coming conflict or new weapon.
The Hags are, in theory, involved in asymmetric cold war against the rest of humanity, but mostly they just rob gas stations and party with cryptids.

Dr. Schalman: is that something you normally do? Hayden: I talk to fans all the time and I remind the crowd to follow at shows. Dr. Schalman: Do you usually approach them though, and do you usually follow back? Hayden: No...and I don't know why I wanted to do that so bad. Dr. Schalman: What else was going on around that time? Hayden: (sigh) Well sometimes when we're on the bus or in a hotel and I'm the only one who can't get to sleep and I'll just be laying there in the dark and I, I, it's not like my mind is racing it's not an anxiety thing like that I just...I'll start thinking about how I only know about like...I don't know anything about how...about what's going one with him but what he posts online and he doesn't, like, he wasn't around for what we did what I did, except for stuff that gets posted. Me and the guys on the podcast are friends, me and Andre go way back, but otherwise my work and my normal life stay separate, Dr. Schalman: but that's not what you want this time? Hayden: I, uh, I just sort of wish he was part of the scene I'm in and lived out where I live and that we had known each other a young guys coming up, or even had been buddies in school, or that he had been one of my siblings, my twin, and we had been born and gone through life together. Jesus fucking Christ what the Hell is wrong with me? Forty five Dr. Schalman: Do you think there's something wrong with how you feel? Hayden: If somebody said that to me I'd want an electric fence between us. Dr. Schalman: OK, are you in contact with this man? Hayden: No...not yet anyway, I've got the tour as an excuse not to right now. Dr. Schalman: You seem relieved. Hayden: It's...I'm just...it's just weird right now Dr. Schalman: Alright, we're running low on time so I'm going to recommend that you pay attention to how you're feeling about the people in your life when you notice yourself ruminating about this. Hayden: OK, yeah, alright. Dr. Schalman: and you can schedule another session to discuss that ..and I'll see you then OK? Hayden: Yeah, oK see'ya. A character from a vision or dream in my W.I.P changed clothing in a way that may or may not have involved physical transformation, like liquid assuming the shape of its container, they chose to go back to being someone dressed for the weather.

Comic page. Doctor Wode continues to dream of the necklace changing hands in reverse to a Amazigh merchant, to a man in a toga and seashell crown, to a dark figure in shadow. A being with a mask like winged face and three or more visible wings hands a round jewel to a character wearing a simple mantilla and a tight full body covering resembling an anime girl or 90's Batman cartoon femme with two dark holes through which two white circle eyes can be seen. Inside a stone or mud brick thatch roof house the character turns to a man huddled between an older and younger woman and says "give back my coat" The man replies "fine" and tells the older woman "it's in the chest go get it". The character tells the younger woman "you there, help me" in the next panel the two white circle eyes and necklace are visible beneath the dark hood of a hand made coat, the tight covering now falls away in tatters and the character walks past a rosebush, along a beach, toward mountains, in the rain and snow. The older woman turns to the fourth wall and says "I guess you think that's pretty funny "doctor", but are you it's daughter...or ours?" as the Hag gang/cult's characteristic face tattoos appear on her face
