Another story is about secondary school teachers who, when asked, “What do you do?” reply, “I’m a chemist, historian, archaeologist…” But the truth is, they’re primarily teachers 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫. And that’s okay! Being a teacher is amazing. Also saying this with love ❤️.

Sometimes we forget that didactics, whether in natural or social sciences, is part of the social sciences. So, all of us working in didactics are doing social science, whether we like it or not 🤷.

One time, a colleague in natural science education told me, “Social sciences are sciences too, but they don’t do empirical studies.” (WTF?! 😱).

I’m tired of hearing people in natural science education talk about “science education” like it’s the only kind of science. Aren’t social sciences also sciences? Saying this with love ❤️.

Schools are important spaces for socialization, but others, like the media, have a much stronger influence. This is a well-known fact.

It’s simple: we use both, always in the same order. Your parents decide that order when you are born. It’s not that complicated. :)
