A very shy bird. Apparently, not so shy of me as he was the camera phone. He had no problem with my being close, but every time I tried to take a picture, he’d duck behind the stone! If you look carefully, you can see his tail in the first one.

Morning adventures with Sadie. She got to meet her friends Milo & Ted twice & behaved well, only trying to jump once. Her dog friend Enzo has a younger & more excitable brother now. Sadie sat very well, though vibrating, as they approached & then she lost it because she was so excited to see Enzo.

Each day begins with an adventure walk with our golden doodle Sadie. It’s a walk in the neighborhood. To Sadie, it’s an adventure. And…so it is to me as well, if only I allow it be.

Morning walk with Sadie. We saw a human Friend who was dressed in nice clothes for work. He (and I) told Sadie not to jump on him & she obeyed. We also saw a woman walking *three* dogs. The three together didn’t weigh so much as Sadie, but still…Sadie also discovered a dead mouse in the road.

In addition to two dogs, we have six cats who honestly don’t get quite so much attention as they did prior to the arrival of the dogs. In the morning, I try to spend time with Blaze, the orange cat. Shadow watches, checks my breakfast to ensure it’s vegan, and then bites the gray blanket.

At first glance, the highly sophisticated enclosures of the natives seemed to be “nothing more” than leaves of an elephant ear bush. “Nothing more” is an odd expression when applied to living things since nothing humans had invented in their million year history came close to its sophistication.

Sadie saw her 1st opossum on our morning walk. She growled at the critter as it lay across the top of a hurricane fence gate. Dog was too agitated for me to get a photo. Then, we had some alone time in the garden where she chewed, stalked, & hid. To Claire’s for lunch with brother Bailey. #dog #pets
