at some point apple music replaced the actual textual path of where your music files are with... whatever this is. it also still has the (what I consider a) bug where if you launch it without the device holding your library mounted, it resets where your library is

by the company's own admission, it does not hide metadata or authenticate anything, which is really stretching the definition of e2ee to breaking point
