I live in this town and you are correct they were abandoned with a reason which is this once small town has grown. I know the exact buildings described in the article. They are fully able to be incorporated into the existing local economy. This is a great small step in the right direction.

Saw them (the Tubes) at the Grand Island Mansion on the Sacramento delta on a Halloween in the early 70's. Complete insanity with everyone involved. Having that much fun should be illegal. And most of it was. 😂

I live off the Miracle Mile in my town which are all local businesses. Plan is to walk 2 blocks (no pollution) and get every gift locally.

Still have an iPhone Xr. Works great and I own it. I get hit by Verizon to upgrade. Don't need it and I certainly don't use my phone for work situations other than calls and an occasional read of my emails and to check in here. I have desktops and laptops for work. They get upgraded when necessary.

Being computer and tech literate is a good thing however being the older tech guy makes my less techie friends call me all the time to walk them through probs they are having. About a year ago I put together a site "The Computer Tutor" Now I tell them book a session at $85 an hour. Problem solved. 😂
