I am eagerly working my way through all your "10" episodes starting this weekend. I'm so grateful to have this list!

What's the word for something you didn't know you needed until you had it? Whatever that is, you have given it to me! This is an absurd, completely unnecessary — and genuinely impressive achievement. Thank you for your service!

I think dropping in at a different stage of that endless dumb war each night reinforced how dumb and endless it was. Also M*A*S*H ruled.

The channel that played it every night when I was a kid played them in random order. One night a Trapper, one night Charles, etc. I actually set up a playlist in my plex server when I ripped my DVDs to replicate that experience.

Now I’d like to see “Boston Common” please!

Absolutely. Too much MTM show and Albert Brooks in my veins to ever fully reject a Brooks organ.

I'm particularly fond of the Patty Duke. I've described this disc to many folks, and they rarely believe me until I play it for them. Then they usually want to hear the whole thing. It definitely punches above it's weight in both fealty to the themes, and fealty to the parody. But what a weird idea.

Carl Reiner worked on this with Dick, just like on the old show.

She would be a fun interview for an extremely niche podcast or publication. The intricacies of 80s pyramid clues resonated deeply with this budding language pedant.

Convy was also a guest on the first Murder She Wrote, although I’m pretty sure he played a murderer later. Beth Howland introduced the wedding song in Sondheim’s Company, and was married to Charles Kimbrough of Murphy Brown.

Mary’s slow collapse is such a simple piece of writing, that hinges on her performance, and our k owl edge of the characters. They all had such faith and confidence in each other. I only wish this wasn’t from the period when she had that weird matronly hairstyle (although here it fits).

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Pretty good casting instincts there.

I'd forgotten about all the great shows on Programme4 that I won't find anywhere else!

YES. As little as I want to hear Buster Olney I don’t want to hear him THAT little!

I was hoping that’s how he would start. He knows the tradition he’s part of.

One of those minor leaguers had the best name ever, according to this 15-year old Sox fan, and it wasn’t LaSchelle Tarver.

Sylvester Stallone

And I can’t even guess which hour you mean. Could be any of ‘em.

It has to be the seven dwarves doesn’t it?
