The only time I’ve called into the show was back during the “Wake and Take” local hour (sans Dan) days. I told Billy that Carrot Cake would be properly rated if it had a different name like “pineapple cream cheese cake”. Never got taken off hold.

Completely unhinged. And it wasn’t a 2 minute conversation, I think it went on for 30 minutes. Pre-covid, I think it was the reason I switched to podcasts.

I’ve told this story before, but my favorite “local sports talk radio is dumb” anecdote comes from some local guys in Huntsville claiming that “pie is for me and cake is for women”. Hilarious.

(Decline the option so the buyout is accounted in 2025 then sign an extension for the net salary to reduce his 2026 cost for accounting and luxury tax reasons) or just an extension. I think we did that with NM, Flowers, and maybe Morton once

It's a really interesting year to spend short term, Devin Williams, Kim, Gallen, Woodruff, Luis Robert (obv trade), King, Iggy all could be had for shorter term than previously thought with nice upside.
