There are people who've scraped every story variable from my game, and then used the variable's names as proof of lore. And in a couple places, sure, they're right, but also isn't it more fun not knowing???

Any piece of art that's got Basically Just One Inspiration is derivative to the point of being essentially pointless. Kills me when I see it in games

True! But there's not exactly much of a "culture" around them, or certainly not enough legal permission? But maybe I'm just not tapped into that scene
