Cat in box

16 years later, Spore tried something similar. But the clay model-like critters in Spore never caught my imagination like EVO did. A downside to user generated content; I could never create dinosaurs, dragons, etc the way I hoped they could look. EVO's swapping in parts looked and felt better.

~30 years ago (!), one of my favorite SNES games was E.V.O.: Search for Eden. It's a side scroller across several geological periods (fish, amphibian, dinosaur, etc), where you can "evolve" various bits on your animal - teeth, horns, neck, feet. Eat other critters to improve your jaws, horns, feet..

I have read that I was supposed to pay a picture of my cat when I joined BlueSky, and buy a book from an author here. I've already bought several books; but here's one of my (...four) cats.
The eldest of my orange cats, mostly curled up in a bed at the top of a cat tree. His back left leg sticks out like the pinky of someone affecting fanciness while drinking. His front paws are gently perched on his outstretched leg. His eyes are almost entirely closed; his right eye is slightly open, expressing minor disapproval of taking his photo without his permission.
