While AI tools offer immediate benefits, they may be creating "cognitive debt" - weakening our thinking muscles over time.

This doesn't mean avoiding AI entirely, but rather being mindful of HOW and WHEN we use it in learning contexts.
→ Use the tools. Don’t outsource the thinking.

Key findings:
- ChatGPT users showed the WEAKEST brain connectivity patterns
- Couldn't remember or quote from essays they wrote minutes before
- Felt less ownership of their work
- Performed worse across all measures after 4 months
