Just finished “Soft Construction of a Sunset” by Philip Fracassi. Holy hell, how have I never heard of this guy before?!?

Have to admit, I do like Lovecraftian horror.
Holy hell this one was dark though

Finally read “I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream”. That might be the best short horror story I have ever read - the hate monologue is absolutely bone-chilling. AM is a completely wretched, irredeemable villain, but in spite of ourselves, we feel a little sorry for him.

Hell of a disturbing subject, but not bad for AI art. It’s extreme, yes, but I think it sends a powerful message.

I mostly write fiction, but I’m glad I wrote this one. This is getting more serious every day, and we need to talk about it more.

@50501movement.bsky.social Almost all of these protests seem to be weekday afternoons - tough for most of us to get there. If they could be held on Saturdays, you’d get a MASSIVE turnout.

It’s been a while, but “Pulse” is still one of my favorite pieces. This one was a blast to write, beginning to end 😎

Finally watched “Green Room”. Jeremy Saulnier is an absolute genius. Great script, excellent performances, and one of the most brutal, sobering analyses of violence I’ve seen in a while.
I have GOT to rewatch “Blue Ruin”.

I've written in several genres, but I always gravitate back to #horror. Maybe because it's such a versatile genre.
Writing horror is a chance to let your imagination run wild — to wrestle with darkness, stare into the void, and remember how good we have it out here, despite everything.

If you're a fan (or writer) of horror, fantasy, or speculative fiction, check out The Kraken Lore on Medium.com.

A welcoming, diverse literary community with some truly excellent writers. TKL was the first publication I wrote for, and I'm thrilled to be a regular contributor.

Well, I’ve lurked on here long enough - time for an #introduction.
I’m Joe, from Madison Wisconsin. Jack of all trades, master of none, you get the idea. Facebook (to say nothing of Twitter/X) has been getting a little extreme for me, so I figured I’d try something new. Greetings to all!👋
