I also did this silly thing where I gave claude-code the capability to eval emacs lisp in the emacs session I was running it in.

Pretty soon I had one claude-code session orchestrating others. For fun I asked it to run Doctor (Eliza), which I described on mastodon:

It's amazing, a game changer, especially if you know how to guide it with a good overall design.

Over my Christmas holiday, I used claude-code to track down and fix an annoying heap corruption issue caused by removable media handling in gnome-shell in Ubuntu Linux.

Unsatisfied with commercial consumer options, I've tried to solve this myself, multiple times. This is not an easy problem!

tbh, "painting pigeons" sounds like a euphemism for something

The longest land border with Russia and a history of losing territory tends to focus your attention.

What do you mean? My holiday project was to track down and fix a bug in gvfs that crashed gnome-shell sometimes when I ejected a CD from my USB CD drive.

Oh sure, it's better than it would be! Once upon-a-time I ran my own email host, so I know how bad it can be!

I would also hesitate to claim that spam is fixed in email!

and now I'm reading what I wrote, and it appears I wrote that 500k live in the ICJ 🙃

Ok, I'm gonna be that guy. "The Hague" (Den Haag) is a city. Its the home of the Dutch royal family and where the government is based. The ICJ is also located in The Hague, and about 500k people live there.

But yeah, I too want Miller to face justice.

I really think an aeropress is the most practical: it's fast, and it makes a great cup of coffee.

I brought my aeropress with me when I moved to Amsterdam in 2020, planning to use it until I got a new coffee maker. Almost 6 years later, it's all I use.

I did buy a grinder!
