5/9 Our current focus is on a crucial agronomic trait: stalk number per plant. Understanding its molecular basis is key to improving yield-related traits.

3/9 One key milestone: we have developed a tetraploid population carrying introgressions from Crop Wild Relatives (CWRs), expanding the genetic diversity available for asparagus breeding.

Hard to believe it’s been 20 years since I gave my first academic seminar. I still remember Prof. J.I. Cubero in the audience—he later joined my PhD committee! Over the years, he’s been a wonderful companion to our group. Honored to share a session and panel with him at shorturl.at/2ShQL

At the XVIII National Congress of Horticultural Sciences (Valencia), @aprial97.bsky.social presents a genomic atlas 🧬 of drought tolerance 💧 in Castanea sativa. A fantastic achievement 🏆 and truly impressive ✨, especially considering it was done without access to the reference genome sequence 📉🌱

📖 Chilling. Layers of lies upon lies that cover everything, hiding the emptiness beneath. Carrère’s reading is deeply unsettling—but I can’t let it go. IMO, a respectful approach to unease.
