Biden was effective in politics, spoke in truth and values and integrity. But he wasn't fierce. It seems the USA populace only is concerned with having someone who "inspires," which I fear means: lets me feel good without having to pay attention, bother with reality, nor be responsible

and the PSA bros have chipped away at media credibility. F Trump and all his fascist scum, of course. But the PSA bros have done and do damage, and yet whine and stomp their feet at any criticism, or just ignore it.

I think the current slate of show runners don't learn lessons, which is unfortunate to an extreme. They tend to double down on the worst features of things, which appears commonplace in media nowadays outside of a few strong exceptions

the powerful stupidity of Americans and American business is just astounding, as it has festered without any consequences for decades. hopefully something changes before even more suffer from it

no, stop it. there are tons of highest level security personnel on social media providing their expertise, telling the world what the capacities of anglo-american nuclear arsenals are. totally legit and totally worthwhile, believable ..... did you know mayans invented cell phones

They did do it, but maybe you're being sarcastic. It's also to three countries, not just the USA. It was a joint bid. I think you just made a poor point ("you don't get mad at a shopkeeper for getting shaken down by the mob") and now it's confused in ranking shameful moments. I'm going to mute this

poor FIFA. Yes, this is the first and only moment of intense corruption, human rights abuses, pay to play, etc. the org has ever experienced

These idiots were dead silent when Trump killed AmeriCorps, the national service entity for 18-23 year olds.

A complete crazy non profit guy used to have at the end of emails: "high fives." Utterly insane

This is under-rated. You see it in so many fields (non profit, education management, etc.): human precursor of AI is great.

neither 3K nor UPK has ever managed to fill it slots (always short by over 10k each). Important context

the public has no agency, ever

The Kurds have been unsung liberators of the middle east. Their fighting in Iraq against ISIS was betrayed by Trump in Term one.
January 8, 2026 at 7:15 PM
seems outlandishly obtuse to focus on what was clearly meant to attract attention to someone cosplaying rather than running an agency. but keep up respectability politics as people are gunned down without a shred of interest in honesty nor integrity. you'll have your manners

Well, first episode. I think they reused this dummy

That ending scared me to no end as a child. The pan and turn is seared into my brain.

"hell fuckin' nah," needs to be the next Dem presidential campaign slogan
December 20, 2025 at 5:41 PM
I'm in Italy and that behavior is ubiquitous everywhere: one person gave her child an ipad at a very nice restaurant and blared a cartoon. Between that kind of thing and the hideous iphone notification ding, I feel like taking away everyone's phone in the world
December 19, 2025 at 5:14 PM
that's a great pull and 100% accurate
December 19, 2025 at 3:24 PM
no, but: yeah (though). It was brilliant, but you can cut like 35% of the runtime of seasons 1-3, then maybe 15% of those in 4-6, and tell a far more compelling narrative. The pacing was off, having an assembly cut feel to it. But meh
